banning plastic bags

So my nephew already says there is a ban on plastic bags in Seattle, WA. You get paper bags in the store with handles. What do folks with dogs do if plastic bags are banned completely? Just wondering because as I understand it you pick up their poop in plastic bags.

Um, ... ever heard of zip-lock baggies?

Plastic bags bans are only for the ones with handles issued at the grocery stores. We've had these cloth bags for quite a few years, and when we lived in the city (will again in less than a year I hope), I even used my fold-away shopping cart to go to the store, and with those cloth bags it made a relatively easy task even easier.
The plastic bags bans aren't as hard to live with as some people make it out to be.

We have the earth bags. I don't use plastic if I can help it. It is easy to put a few earth bags in your pocket, car, or whatever if you know you're going shopping.
If you've got dog poop to pick up use paper. It works just as well.

I really like my cloth bags. It took me a while to remember to bring them with me when i went shopping, but now I always do. Sure is nice not having to store as many plastic bags.

there's something called compost. and there's compost bags, I've seen some, they are like plastic bags. you could use those for dog poop, and can't you put all that in the compost?

You could also get a roll of produce baggies. They're thin but also large enough to hold the poop and still be tied closed.

Bio degratible poop bags.

I use those grocery sacks for my trash can once I get them home. I take cloth bags with me but I ask for the plastic too. I don't have to by trash bags this way.
